The perfect accessory whether it's a bridal cape with a long train, or a set of detachable long sleeves or bridal gloves with unique detailing, or a dramatic bridal veil, can help any brides make a statement and achieve that unforgettable wow moment coming down the aisle at their wedding.

We recently shared the top wedding dress trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week and we even took a closer look at how new bridal dress trends look on real wedding dresses from our designers that we carry at Lovella. Now it’s time for bridal accessories to take the spotlight! When we talk about wedding dresses and what makes brides feel like "the bride" we definitely need to talk about accessories like veils, jewelry, sleeves and more.

We are sharing the top six bridal accessory trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week that we spotted coming down the runways this year to accentuate the new wedding dress designs. After all, a wedding dress is just a wedding dress, but when you start adding unique and unexpected accessories, lie veils, necklaces, capes and more, this is when brides can truly customize their bridal look to their personal style.

While top bridal designers were sharing their latest wedding dresses from their Fall and Winter 2025 wedding dress collections, they were also showcasing new and exciting bridal accessories to accompany those new bridal styles.

In addition the wedding dresses, we also had our eyes on the bridal accessories, and we are so excited to share the top bridal accessories trends that caught our eye coming down the runways this year.

If you are shopping for your bridal accessories or wondering how to style your wedding dress to truly make it your own and help your personality shine on your wedding day, you won't want to miss our recap of the top 6 bridal accessory trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week

Trend 1: Bridal Gloves

The first bridal accessory trend that we saw across all of the designer runway shows that our team attended was gloves. This trend is very strong in the upcoming bridal collections of many of the designers that we carry at Lovella Bridal. We saw bridal gloves of many styles - colored gloves, lace gloves, sheer gloves, silk gloves. And gloves of varying length as well from wrist length to gloves that went to the elbow and even higher to give the illusion of a sleeve.

Bridal gloves are a great way to provide some additional coverage on wedding day and give you a 2-in-1 look if you remove the gloves for your wedding reception.

Trend 2: Detachable Long Sleeves

Bridal accessory trend number two is detachable long sleeves. This trend is so similar to bridal gloves, but we had to separate them into two different trends because they were each so popular among the top bridal dress designers. Again, we saw detachable sleeves in a variety of designs from sheer bohemian inspired sleeves to sleeves with floral appliqués.

We love a detachable sleeve for brides who want to be able to change their wedding look without buying a second wedding reception dress or a brand new after party bridal look. Changing your bridal dress on wedding day is a process and can take time if you don't plan it out. But with detachable sleeves or bridal gloves, brides can easily take off the detachable sleeves for your wedding reception.

Plus, detachable sleeves are, well, detached from the wedding dress meaning they are not sown on or connected to the dress dress. Think of them like long gloves that are not connected at the shoulder or upper arm and without full hand coverings, like a glove. Having a detachable option also allows for a full range of mobility that you may not have with other wedding dress styles.

Trend 3: Dramatic Bridal Veils

Wedding veils may be our favorite bridal accessory as they are an easy way to truly elevate your bridal look. Plus, we've said this before and we'll say it again, nothing makes a bride feel like a bride more than putting on a bridal veil. A bridal veil can really complete a wedding day look for any bride and help her elevate her bridal style from just a fancy dress into truly feeling like "the bride."

Dramatic wedding veils were trending on the runways in New York Bridal Fashion Week and we were loving it! Wedding veils with dramatic floral detailing on the top and crown of the veil were everywhere on the runways. Floral lace detailing, textural elements, and very full, cascading bridal veils were showcased across many of the top bridal designers.

Bridal veils that were dramatic and made a statement on their own were definitely shining at the most recent bridal fashion week in New York and we can wait to see them coming down the aisle soon!

Trend 4: Bridal Capes

The next bridal accessory trend that we saw across many of our favorite bridal designers was bridal capes. This trend goes along with the trend of detachable long sleeves and bridal gloves, but definitely deserves it’s own spotlight in the sense that capes give brides that convertible outfit change element to their wedding day look without the effort of a full-on dress change. We have seen bridal capes in the past but making capes new and on trend at this year's New York Bridal Fashion Week, the top bridal designers elevated this accessory by incorporating long sleeves.

We saw bridal capes with long sleeves in luxurious fabrics, making use of a lot of draping for a dramatic bridal look. Think of an elegant bridal shrug or coat, but make it more epic. Many of these long sleeve bridal capes that were so on trend on this year's runways had dramatic trains so if you wanted that drama for your wedding day look without purchasing a wedding dress with a long train, adding a cape could be a great option.

Trend 5: Hair Bun Covers

Bridal accessory trend number five that was showcased by one of our favorite accessory designers, Maria Elena, and that is bridal bun covers. We saw a lot of ballerina inspired bridal looks with tulip style skirts so it makes perfect sense that bridal buns hair styles for brides are in and on trend right now. What a fun way to accessorize your wedding day hair with a bun cover and help achieve an on-trend wedding day look!

We saw bridal hair bun covers in gorgeous designs featuring crystals, pearls and even bows. These would be great peeking through your wedding veil or even added after your wedding ceremony as a fun way to change up your wedding day hair for a different look during your wedding reception. Again, brides today are all about changing their look on wedding day and creating unforgettable moments throughout their wedding day with their fashion choices and a unique hair bun cover with sparkles and beads can help them achieve a very, on trend bridal look that is dramatically different.

Trend 6: Choker Style Necklaces

The last bridal accessory we saw highlighted at this year's New York Bridal Fashion Week is choker style necklaces. We saw a lot of chokers being introduced back in April during the spring bridal fashion week and this trend has only grown in popularity with brides and the top bridal dress designers.

We saw many different styles and designs of choker necklaces and bridal jewelry, both in crystal and pearl, but pearls are definitely stealing the spotlight. Pearls are also trending in wedding dress designs so it makes sense designers would continue the pearl detail in their bridal accessories.
