As we mark the end of an era as Jobyna’s Bridal and Tuxedo we welcome the name of our future as Lovella Bridal. Lovella Bridal (formally Jobyna’s Bridal & Tuxedo) began in the 1970s. In paying tribute to our beginnings, our rich history, fashion and style we honor and remember our roots, as we highlight some of the worlds most remarkable and majestic weddings. Stay tuned as we shine light to our favorite trends, styles and fashions from each decade that have contributed to the styles and fashions of today.

We begin our journey into our past with nuptial trends of the 1970s the year we began.

Tricia Nixon and Edward Cox wed in 1971. She has to be one of the most beautiful brides to ever grace the White House!

Ah, how we love a good accessory! Simple elegance at its finest.

Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner wed in 1973.

The pale blue tuxedo for the men, the lavish lace for the women define bridal fashions and trends in the 70s.

A man in the 70s’ simply wouldn’t be a groom with out ruffles, velour accents and bowties!

“Bride, n. A woman with a fine prospect behind her.” -Ambrose Bierce, 1911
