In the second in a series of exclusive bridal fashion week posts (first being Maria Elena Headpieces), we’re sharing photos from Ines Di Santo’s runway show. Models wore gowns by the designer and jewelry and headpieces by Maria Elena Headpieces.
The basis of inspiration for the Italian-born designer’s spring 2014 collection was Camille Pissarro’s Avenue de l’Opera from 1898 (below). The collection was “designed to have the captivating quality of feeling vintage and modern at once,” read the official statement accompanying the collection at the show.
Nayri of Lovella Bridal: “Ines’ collection was very dramatic, as usual, with such diversity. She is one of the few designers I know that can go from minis to sexy slinky looks to dramatic over-the-top ball gowns.”
More from the statement, Di Santo used a beautiful “glitter tulle that appears to delicately frost the gown” that looked so fluid and mesmerizing in person. Texture, sparkle and a “soft muted palette of cameo pink, antique ivory and champagne served as the canvas for exquisite detailing,”
That said, prepare to be mesmerized – and enjoy!
