This is the second up in a series of floral-focused posts on our blog! First up was roses; click over to the post if you haven’t already. Today we’re admiring peonies. They can be a pricey flower, but often these lush, full blooms are worth the investment. See how absolutely beautiful they look in the photos below! We’re especially fond of the peony boutonniere, which when white adds a sort of chicness to the groom’s look without being too frilly. And the pitcher filled with peonies? Delightful. Use this as inspiration not only for in the house, but for a rustic-chic occasion like a party or a wedding. In conclusion, some fun facts about often a bride’s favorite flower: 2,000: years peonies have been cultivated in China. Regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage. This frilly, yet chic, bouquet handle seen here and captured by Emma Sharkey Photography. So much time is invested in perfecting the florals in a bouquet, but attention must be paid to the stems as well. Here we love the mixture of ruffle and lace secured with pearl pins. How very lovely!
When elements from a wedding are integrated into a home in the form of photos, or, as seen here, in a few other special-somethings from the big day. Lovella bride Christine, who was unforgettable in a custom Edgardo Bonilla ball skirt on her wedding day, had her bouquet preserved. “Home decor! The rosary makes it!” the bride exclaimed regarding her wall decoration. The rosary, by Maria Elena and from our salon, was wrapped around her bouquet and was quite the fine addition to an already-beautiful bunch of florals. Below we’ve also included a particularly lovely handwritten note from Christine; we never tire of hearing from our brides. At the bottom, too, is an image of her bouquet the first time around. Enjoy!
For this summertime wedding Lovella bride Leena looked amazing in a Pronovias gown, complete with custom changes, from our salon. From the royal blue Blahniks to the bold, vibrant bouquet, Leena’s look was pure perfection. Colorful accessories are a fabulous accompaniment to a traditional white gown. Soothing blues, subtle peacock accents and classic white linens made this wedding held at the breathtaking Saddlerock Ranch ultra easy on the eyes. Plentiful sunshine didn’t hurt, either! This wedding went off without a hitch much thanks to Sarah Z Events. Not only do we ask that you enjoy the bride’s gorgeous Pronovias dress, but also take pleasure in all the pretty details of this celebration.
