We’re ending our bridal market coverage on a super positive (and gorgeous) note with our private viewing at Kenneth Pool last weekend. Bridal gowns by Kenneth Pool encompass an overall traditional look. However, with their Fall 2012 Collection lead designer Amsale Aberra showcased her signature traditional hand-embroidered bodices with modern textured skirts, creating a traditional look with a pleasantly modern twist. We also saw nipped-in waists, intricate embroidered detail and a sprinkling of embellishments here and there. Texture-varying fabrics, like organza and feathers, added surprise without sacrificing taste. And we saw a great amount of mermaid styles in this collection, including modified mermaids with modern asymmetrical bottoms. We couldn’t have enjoyed our viewing more! We kick off our photos below with the Lovella Bridal team squeezing in for a photo with the brilliant Amsale. Enjoy!
We had been anticipating our private viewing of Edgardo Bonilla’s collection for quite some time. Upon arrival to our appointment last weekend the man of the hour looked ever-so dapper in his sleek suit with a burst of personality in the form of a red gingham shirt and a houndstooth tie plopped atop. Our favorite element of Edgardo’s sweet, dreamy collection this year is the ribbon. The fabric in person looked so magnificent, and the teal ribbon was extra special as it had an iridescent quality that was borderline magical. Too, if you scroll down you’ll see intricate lace overlapping tucked-away ribbon, creating such a unique high-fashion look. Art should be beautiful and inspiring. That said, Edgardo’s gowns are truly art and we simply cannot get enough of it.
We were so lucky to have a string of private showings and appointments with some of the top designers last week at bridal market. One that especially sticks out to us is our appointment at Maria Elena‘s show room. With this season’s sparkling accessories came much color and the introduction of even more fabulous men’s pieces, which included a super chic bow tie with some edgy detail. The green cufflinks were incredible, too. Details and color DO make a huge difference! Enjoy the photos of delicious earrings, hairpieces, cufflinks and more. Though we’re back in Los Angeles thoughts of bridal market this past weekend in New York City still remain. Over the weekend we had the extreme pleasure of being the first to view the Fall 2012 Collection from Ines Di Santo. We were amazed by what we saw! This season Ines Di Santo showcased interesting necklines and terrifically textured skirts, creating the perfect formula for a bride’s dream gown. Enjoy the show!
Our collection rounds at bridal market 2011 continued yesterday and through today. We’ve been loving what we’ve been seeing, notably Marchesa, which we viewed during a private showing yesterday. We’re crazy about the special touches of and punchy colors on their short and sexy evening pieces. Also, you’re not crazy! The lace bridal gown below with the keyhole mesh-style back is a variation of the gown Marchesa designed for Nicole Richie. Enjoy the photos! We’ve had such fun viewing the new collections.
