Our exclusive Bridal Market coverage continues with our private viewing of couture designer Edgardo Bonilla’s latest designs. (If you missed photos from the our the Alvina Valenta and Matthew Christopher runway shows, click here.) In this collection, Bonilla’s inspiration was light – and this lightness was evident in each and every gown he created. We saw lots of geometric lines and bursts of sparkle to represent “light.” Take special note of the placement of these special features; it’s atypical and an art all its own. Edgardo has always been our King of Ball Gowns, and this collection absolutely lives up to his title. Enjoy these exclusive images from the runway show. Join us in store to meet Edgardo himself during our Edgardo Bonilla Trunk Show December 12-14, 2014. Directly below is a photo of the designer with Lovella’s Nayri and Angie. Stay tuned for even more from bridal fashion week!

Or call us to make an appointment: 818.246.4637. ——— Three things. Lindsay, also known as celebrity DJ Lindsay Luv, is a fashionista through-and-through, and her Edgardo Bonilla gown was nothing short of fabulous. Two, she and her now-husband like to have a good time. Like, a really good time. And three, this wedding was so romantic, so lovely, so very California. Lovella Bride Lindsay and Kevin married at a picturesque Southern California Vineyard in September 2013. Everything breathed romance: the grapes, the wine, the florals, and surely the air. Lindsay has killer sense of style, so much so that she paired her wedding dress with a sweet specially-designed white moto jacket. That’s just how this […]
As noted in our last post, in 2013 we attended both semi-annual bridal fashion weeks in New York City. This time around, however, we took a pass — but admired from afar. We shared photos from Ines Di Santo’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, and this time we again consulted The Knot, with photos by Kurt Wilberding, to share with you the Kenneth Pool Spring 2015 Collection. Head designer Amsale Aberra’s streamlined 10-piece collection is one of great illusions, with each gown presenting an alluring front with a surprise in the back. WWD said of the collection: “Aberra targeted the sexy bride… The silhouettes were seductive, many in mermaid shapes and with daring low backs.” Described The Knot: “Stepping away from the bold, dramatic aesthetic of previous seasons, instead balancing form-fitting shapes and daring low backs with romantic touches.” We’ve also squeezed in a few Instagram-captured runway images; credits are below each […]
Last year we had the luxury of attending both semi-annual bridal market, or bridal fashion week, events. This market, however, we took a pass — but that doesn’t mean we didn’t admire the couture from afar. Ines Di Santo’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection holds an array of silhouettes, fresh florals and shimmering delights. Described The Knot: “Lush gardens and the fields of the Provencal and English countrysides were the inspiration … Di Santo adds a glamorous, flirtatious touch with Ostrich feathers and shimmering opalescent paillettes, with crystal encrusted tulle and pearls adding luxurious texture.” Too, luxuriate in the extravagant floral headpieces as donned by the models. ***The debut of this collection on the runway comes just in time for this weekend’s Ines Di Santo and Maria Elena Headpieces Trunk Show at Lovella Bridal; click the link for more info! Below, enjoy the world renowned designer’s latest offerings as plucked from The […]
We happened upon this shoot, and found it and its details to be too dreamy, too fantastical, not to share. And we know it’s our lucky day when not one Ines Di Santo gown is featured in a shoot, but two. The two styles were perfect fits for this “Enchanted Secret Garden” spread in Elegant Wedding magazine. Find a complete list of vendors, along with more photos, over on the magazine’s blog. Enjoy!
