Our exclusive Bridal Market coverage continues with our private viewing of couture designer Edgardo Bonilla’s latest designs. (If you missed photos from the our the Alvina Valenta and Matthew Christopher runway shows, click here.) In this collection, Bonilla’s inspiration was light – and this lightness was evident in each and every gown he created. We saw lots of geometric lines and bursts of sparkle to represent “light.” Take special note of the placement of these special features; it’s atypical and an art all its own. Edgardo has always been our King of Ball Gowns, and this collection absolutely lives up to his title. Enjoy these exclusive images from the runway show. Join us in store to meet Edgardo himself during our Edgardo Bonilla Trunk Show December 12-14, 2014. Directly below is a photo of the designer with Lovella’s Nayri and Angie. Stay tuned for even more from bridal fashion week!
Our exclusive Bridal Market coverage continues with Mira Zwillinger, an Israeli designer. The label is Lovella Bridal’s latest addition, and once you view the photos from our viewing you’ll know why. (If you missed our photos from Ines Di Santo and Rivini runway shows, click here.) How special this viewing was. We absolutely loved the embroidery in this latest couture collection. Mira’s gowns are incredibly light and airy; she uses a beautiful chiffon. Her creations can best be described as whimsical, romantic and elegant chic with an edge. And it’s no wonder why she is so passionate about her gowns. For example, as soon as a gown emerged she couldn’t continue a conversation because the gowns are truly works of art that need to be appreciated in silence; you can’ help but enjoy each delicate detail that has been strategically placed. Quality is Mira’s number one priority, and that is exactly what […]
We had the pleasure of hosting Liancarlo designer Carlos Ramirez at Lovella Bridal this past weekend during a trunk show. Needless to say, we’ve had Liancarlo on our minds lately! The designer’s latest collection is one of fantasy but practicality. Features like artfully placed tulle, modern lace, his trademark appliqués, and sweetheart bodices grace gowns with intricate embroidery that adds extraordinary dimension to each. Ethereal and romantic are key adjectives of this collection. The Knot summed it up quite well, stating the line “is proof that classic doesn’t have to mean boring.” If you love what you see, contact us: 818-246-4637. In the meantime, enjoy browsing the expertly-crafted pieces that make up Ramirez’s exquisite Spring 2015 Collection.

As noted in our last post, in 2013 we attended both semi-annual bridal fashion weeks in New York City. This time around, however, we took a pass — but admired from afar. We shared photos from Ines Di Santo’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, and this time we again consulted The Knot, with photos by Kurt Wilberding, to share with you the Kenneth Pool Spring 2015 Collection. Head designer Amsale Aberra’s streamlined 10-piece collection is one of great illusions, with each gown presenting an alluring front with a surprise in the back. WWD said of the collection: “Aberra targeted the sexy bride… The silhouettes were seductive, many in mermaid shapes and with daring low backs.” Described The Knot: “Stepping away from the bold, dramatic aesthetic of previous seasons, instead balancing form-fitting shapes and daring low backs with romantic touches.” We’ve also squeezed in a few Instagram-captured runway images; credits are below each […]
