Last year we had the luxury of attending both semi-annual bridal market, or bridal fashion week, events. This market, however, we took a pass — but that doesn’t mean we didn’t admire the couture from afar. Ines Di Santo’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection holds an array of silhouettes, fresh florals and shimmering delights. Described The Knot: “Lush gardens and the fields of the Provencal and English countrysides were the inspiration … Di Santo adds a glamorous, flirtatious touch with Ostrich feathers and shimmering opalescent paillettes, with crystal encrusted tulle and pearls adding luxurious texture.” Too, luxuriate in the extravagant floral headpieces as donned by the models. ***The debut of this collection on the runway comes just in time for this weekend’s Ines Di Santo and Maria Elena Headpieces Trunk Show at Lovella Bridal; click the link for more info! With this post we wrap up our visit to Fall 2014 NYC Bridal Market, and we’re leaving things on a high note! Jorge Manuel is celebrating his company’s fifth anniversary with the fabulous haute couture Fleur Collection 2014. This collection, presented with a lush garden theme backdrop, was inspired by flowers from world-famous gardens. “I [studied] each flower and its symbolic meaning, [and] examined its structure and allowed this to influence the designing process,” Manuel noted in the collection’s official statement. The twelve gowns in the collection took a year to complete, and with over 1,000 hours of hand-beaded work invested, was clearly a labor of love. That said, the beadwork in this collection is exquisite. The gown shapes are flattering and classic, but there are surprises galore. For instance, a gown with a plunging neckline on a bodice adorned with embellishments so feminine and romantic that it doesn’t teeter […]

Once we saw a Liancarlo wedding dress strikingly similar to a style we carry in our salon (above), we knew we had to share the super pretty photos by Troy Grover Photographers. The San Clemente bride below wore a Liancarlo gown so beautifully adorned with blossoms, and a sash tied so perfectly at the back. If you love the look, let us know. P.S. The unmasking of the groom is such a beautiful sequence of photos; be sure to click over to the photographer’s blog.
Our bridal market coverage continues with exclusive photos from the Kenneth Pool runway, and Instagram can prove we were there! The New York Times spotted Randy Fenoli front row at the show with Lovella Bridal at his side (three women at right in the first photo below). The theme of this collection is Opulent Sirens. Head designer Amsale Aberra returned with form-fitting trumpet and ball gowns in rich satin, some with exquisite crystal beading – “decadent artistry.” We loved the use of the gold lace in Amsale’s two ball gowns; she was the only designer we saw who used gold lace. Style-wise, one of our favorites was the last ball gown, which we of course picked up for our salon. As the official release stated, the collection “is for the bride who loves to turn heads and enjoys every moment of being a woman.” Sounds fabulous to us!
