Last year we had the luxury of attending both semi-annual bridal market, or bridal fashion week, events. This market, however, we took a pass — but that doesn’t mean we didn’t admire the couture from afar. Ines Di Santo’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection holds an array of silhouettes, fresh florals and shimmering delights. Described The Knot: “Lush gardens and the fields of the Provencal and English countrysides were the inspiration … Di Santo adds a glamorous, flirtatious touch with Ostrich feathers and shimmering opalescent paillettes, with crystal encrusted tulle and pearls adding luxurious texture.” Too, luxuriate in the extravagant floral headpieces as donned by the models. ***The debut of this collection on the runway comes just in time for this weekend’s Ines Di Santo and Maria Elena Headpieces Trunk Show at Lovella Bridal; click the link for more info! The glamorous over-the-top details of these chairs, spotted here and photographed by TripleCord. Each chair, with a sparkling top and voluminous feathery bottom, mimics a bridal gown. This is further proof that each and every wedding detail can stand to be prettified!
We’re ending our bridal market coverage on a super positive (and gorgeous) note with our private viewing at Kenneth Pool last weekend. Bridal gowns by Kenneth Pool encompass an overall traditional look. However, with their Fall 2012 Collection lead designer Amsale Aberra showcased her signature traditional hand-embroidered bodices with modern textured skirts, creating a traditional look with a pleasantly modern twist. We also saw nipped-in waists, intricate embroidered detail and a sprinkling of embellishments here and there. Texture-varying fabrics, like organza and feathers, added surprise without sacrificing taste. And we saw a great amount of mermaid styles in this collection, including modified mermaids with modern asymmetrical bottoms. We couldn’t have enjoyed our viewing more! We kick off our photos below with the Lovella Bridal team squeezing in for a photo with the brilliant Amsale. Enjoy!
