We’re rolling out exclusive Bridal Market coverage beginning with Ines Di Santo’s exquisite runway show. This collection was truly her best yet! This fresh, fashionable and fabulous Fall/Winter 2015 Couture Collection is inspired by the purity of winter. From the designer’s official statement about the designs: “Lace appliques, pearl detailing and architectural beading create depth while underlays in embroidered tulle, organza and English netting build volume among Peau De Soie and double-faced silk gowns. The color palate ranges from ethereal white and ivory to cameo pink, champagne and petal.” Per usual, Ines showed one of the most dynamic collections we view each year. Historically and consistently, she goes from ball gowns to slinky sexy silhouettes. She integrated many geometric designs and embroideries in this collection. Our ultimate favorite trend on this runway was the over skirts! We absolutely love the dynamic use and added level of drama a detachable skirt creates for […]
Lovella bride Teny, we’re convinced, was made to wear this Ines Di Santo dress from our salon! It featured hand made ruched taffeta flowers with accents of embellishment at the bust, on the lower thigh, and at the skirt’s bottom. Her look was made complete with nude Prada shoes, a fingertip butterfly veil with satin edging from our salon, and minimal jewelry. Teny and Arlen married in Pasadena; there are so many smiles in the wedding photos from Rene Zadori Photography below. As for the bridal party, the bridesmaids wore long, dark blue dresses (with the maid of honor in her own style and color), and the groomsmen all looked dapper in black suits with gold vests and ties. Their reception space at Geragos Hall was spotted in chic ivory centerpieces made of hydrangeas and roses. A towering six-tier Rafi’s Pastry cake was another highlight; it featured blue satin met […]
This wedding stationery, captured beautifully by Elizabeth Messina. (Look closely and you’ll see the wedding rings artfully placed.) One thing we love, and believe that brides can’t go wrong with, is gold and ivory stationery; it’s timeless elegance at its finest.
No other confection is quite as chic or timeless as a white or ivory wedding cake. White and ivory have the power to transcend all seasons; the colors are fashionable in spring and summer or fall and winter. And bonus points goes to a cake with icing in exquisite textures, designs or shapes, which seem to make it all the more enticing to sink your teeth into. Go classic with flowers and pearls or modern with large circles or waves of buttercream or fondant. Below you’ll see a towering white rosette cake (almost too pretty to eat), classically textured four and five-tiered cakes, an art deco-inspired creation and more.
