Susan and Jade’s San Diego wedding was nothing short of absolutely lovely. The magnificent Caroline Tran captured all the details — stationery and paper goods in shades of pink and seafoam, the candle-lined ceremony aisle and props like umbrellas and giant pink balloons props. Oh, and the sweets at the reception: too-pretty-to-eat confections like French macarons, intricate cakes, and cake pops complete with edible cameo embellishments. All pretty pastel perfection. Lovella Bride Susan wore a Kenneth Pool ball gown fit for a princess. Wrote the bride of her dress: “Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and expertise in helping me find the absolutely perfect wedding dress. The dress was everything I ever dreamed of and was definitely a major highlight of our special day.” The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and embellished belt at the bodice, and an artfully gathered skirt. The gown was so very Susan: sweet, […]
Welcome back as we share our whirlwind journey of bridal market, the biannual fashion week event in New York City. First we shared our viewing of the latest from Maria Elena, like pieces infused with opal and tulle and a “something blue” mink clutch. Now we move on to our private viewing of the Fall 2014 Couture Collection by Toronto-based designer Ines Di Santo, a Lovella favorite. Said Lovella Bridal wedding fashion expert and stylist Nayri of the collection: “Per usual, her collection is extremely dynamic. There is truly something here for every style bride. From light-as-a-feather soft and romantic gowns to slinky/sexy form-fitted looks to a dramatic embroidered ball gown, you name it—she has it. And boy, oh boy, she never disappoints!” Something particularly special from the collection is a lace dress with purple underlay (pictured below). Any color may be placed beneath the dress, which will ever so […]
Once we saw a Liancarlo wedding dress strikingly similar to a style we carry in our salon (above), we knew we had to share the super pretty photos by Troy Grover Photographers. The San Clemente bride below wore a Liancarlo gown so beautifully adorned with blossoms, and a sash tied so perfectly at the back. If you love the look, let us know. P.S. The unmasking of the groom is such a beautiful sequence of photos; be sure to click over to the photographer’s blog.
We love lavender. In this follow-up post to our first on this mint family member, we share updated inspiration. Whether on or in bouquets, table settings and cakes, lavender makes everything better. And due to its pretty nature, it makes a particularly welcome costar in photographs. Our favorites? Sprigs of lavender tucked oh-so neatly into a table setting and escort cards set atop a bed of lavender. Enjoy the lovely inspiration! We adore several things about this bridal session shot by The Nichols. One, that custom Ines Di Santo gown is an absolute stunner. Two, the bride looks marvelous. (No, she’s not a model… she’s a bride!) And three, the combination of the bride’s coloring, soft dress and pretty bouquet, and the magic of the photography results in pure loveliness. You’ll see. Enjoy!
