Exclusive Interview with Edgardo Bonilla

In less than one week we will host a dream event for any bride-to-be! Wedding or fashion fanatics will want in on the fun, too. Next Wednesday, November 20 is the Grand Opening of our new luxury salon. The celebration will be complete with a couture fashion show, and appearances by designers Ines Di Santo, Jorge Manuel, Maria Elena Fuentes, and Rivini Fashion Director James Brown. Also on the roster will be our good friend and incredibly talented designer Edgardo Bonilla; we’re pictured below with him and his model from bridal fashion week in October 2013. The New Jersey-based designer has strong ties with Lovella. In 2011 we collaborated on the Edgardo Bonilla for Lovella Bridal collection. We’ve had private viewings of his latest collections at bridal market, and we have interviewed him before. We have also used his gowns in countless bridal fashion shoots, like this one at The […]

Couture Designer Jorge Manuel: ‘Lovella is not a space, it is an experience’

It all began with a visit to couture designer Jorge Manuel’s personally designed factory and design headquarters in Miami last November. After witnessing the efficient and organized space that was at the same time stylish and conducive to creation, we had to tap him to design our new luxury salon. Though he was “hesitant” at first, he accepted… and we assure you the results are sensational. On November 20, 2013 we will unveil the mastery of his creation that is the new luxurious Lovella salon. Manuel will be present, and you’re invited! Manuel is somebody you want to speak with. He is inspired, has incredible energy, and has found that elusive design balance of logic, lore, aspiration and talent. That said, he answered questions about his latest collection, the inspiration behind designing our new space (complete with a wet bar and a “dream home” feel), and the thing that’s most […]

Bridal Fashion Week: Jorge Manuel Private Viewing

With this post we wrap up our visit to Fall 2014 NYC Bridal Market, and we’re leaving things on a high note! Jorge Manuel is celebrating his company’s fifth anniversary with the fabulous haute couture Fleur Collection 2014. This collection, presented with a lush garden theme backdrop, was inspired by flowers from world-famous gardens. “I [studied] each flower and its symbolic meaning, [and] examined its structure and allowed this to influence the designing process,” Manuel noted in the collection’s official statement. The twelve gowns in the collection took a year to complete, and with over 1,000 hours of hand-beaded work invested, was clearly a labor of love. That said, the beadwork in this collection is exquisite. The gown shapes are flattering and classic, but there are surprises galore. For instance, a gown with a plunging neckline on a bodice adorned with embellishments so feminine and romantic that it doesn’t teeter […]

Spotted: Maria Elena Accessories in Miami Wedding

We’re in Maria Elena Headpieces heaven. We spotted dazzling Maria Elena earrings and a minaudière in photos by Alexi Shields Photography here. What makes Maria Elena accessories so special, so covetable, is that they’re heirloom-worthy. Each and every piece is made with quality in order to weather being passed down from one generation to another, to another, to another… Love what you see? We carry both the earrings and clutch! In fact, Lovella is hosting an Ines Di Santo and Maria Elena Headpieces trunk show this weekend, September 20-21, 2013; book your appointment now at (818) 246-4637.

2012 Lovella Bridal Highlights, in Photos

2012 was an amazing year for Lovella Bridal! To chronicle the past twelve months, we combed through pages and pages of blog posts and magazines to bring you this compilation of photographs. Of course, Lovella wouldn’t be the salon it is without our brides, which is why they take center stage in this post. Lovella brides Danica and Leigh-Ann had television appearances on My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. Courtney Mazza, of course, saw an explosion of publicity after donning two Ines Di Santo gowns for her wedding in Mexico to Mario Lopez; their wedding appeared in such major publications as People and US Weekly. Our brides wore designs, some custom, from some of the most talented designers in the industry for their walks down the aisle: Ines Di Santo, Edgardo Bonilla, Kenneth Pool, Allure Bridals, Lazaro, Alvina Valenta, Pronovias and Maria Elena Headpieces. Below photos of our brides you’ll […]
