This perfectly pink-petaled aisle. Caroline Tran has done it again; she has beautifully captured something already lovely and made it ten times as lovely! Of course, credit must go to Bloom Box Designs for the irresistible petal-splashed pathway. We’re speechless.
Ombre cake. The universal love is no secret. There’s just something lovely about the degradation of pretty color coupled with confection. And while ombre icing is great and all, how about a little surprise inside? (After all, it’s what’s on the inside that counts, right?) And an ombre cake needn’t be only for big occasions; it’s something you can replicate with time and maybe a little practice. Amanda Rettke, author of Surprise-Inside Cakes, has a wonderful how-to on her blog. Enjoy! If you follow Lovella on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, you may know that our team was in New York City this past weekend for bridal market. And what a whirlwind of fabulous events it was! We had private viewings with a number of designers: Kenneth Pool, Twigs and Honey, Malis Henderson. But first up on our NYC list was with none other than Ines Di Santo; Lovella Bridal was the first to view the collection before it hit the runway Sunday morning. Expectations were high following last year’s private viewing. But our viewing last weekend certainly did not disappoint. In fact, it completely impressed (per usual). From interesting necklines to hand cut laser floral design, blue ombre, and glamorous sparkling gowns, there is something for every bride in this collection. Enjoy these exclusive photos! Part two to follow.
It’s that time again, for plenty of floral goodness. This is a continuation of our Floral Love series. Carnations have long been banished to the filler flower category. But why? Bunched together, carnations can pack major punch. They’re affordable, easy to get, light and airy, and can be the star or costar of your wedding. Quick facts about this sweetly-scented flower: Available year-round, they are never out of season. Carnations are symbolic of mother’s love. 3 weeks: Length of time carnations can last once cut. This charming floral heart centerpiece, first seen here. Sometimes it’s easy to over do it with the ever-feminine heart, but this pink ombre-colored centerpiece is an unexpected but fresh approach to floral design. Do you love it too?
