Between Los Angeles and Palm Springs is Redlands, a city where snow-capped mountains meet palm trees and desert landscape. It was a pleasure to again team up with Beatrice of RomaBea Images; we always know that her photographic eye will give justice to our shop’s designer wedding gowns. With a glorious estate as this shoot’s backdrop, the first piece of success was achieved. A handful of gowns, bouquets, vintage postcards, the exquisite work of many professionals, and an abundance of photographs later, inspiration emerged. Stay tuned for a more complete look of this shoot! These photos from Jessica Claire make us want to pack our bags for Palm Springs pronto. When were approached by Palm Springs Wed by Palm Springs Style to offer two gowns for this punchy California desert shoot, there was no hesitation in saying “Yes!” The first dress you see below is by Rivini, the second (further down) by Martina Liana. Both dresses feature gorgeous sleeve detail, and are flowing, effortless and stylish — much like Palm Springs itself. Also, both dresses are available at Lovella Bridal. The desert and cool hotel serves as this fashion shoot’s backdrop, punctuated with punchy florals, bold prints and gold and vintage details, complete with plenty of smiles and an amazing sunset (to boot). If you’re a bride and love the Rivini gown below, what with its ethereal yet simple luxurious quality, magnificent neck detail, and undeniable back drama, consider yourself lucky! We’re hosting a […]
We return to our Floral Love series with a bang — with versatile and pretty succulents. It would have been easy to incorporate succulent centerpieces, boutonnieres, favors, etc. into one post, but we found so much inspiration in just the bouquets that we had to make it a two-parter. It’s no wonder that succulents are a popular choice of florals in California. According to MarthaStewart.com, succulents are “plants that store their water in their stems, leaves, and roots, causing their ‘succulence.’ Succulents have evolved in the desert and need direct sunlight.” Succulents are easy going, too. You need only to water them every 10 days to 2 weeks, they require minimal fertilization, and are easy and sturdy to work with. Enjoy the post!
