Aglow with Candles

In 2012 we wrote: Candles can beautify a mundane setting, or illuminate an already-fantastic one. Not much has changed since then, except we have tons of fresh new inspiration to share. Candles can breathe romance and elegance into your wedding ceremony or reception. They never go out of style, photograph beautifully, and can be easy on the wallet. Candles set the mood for any event and are incredibly versatile. Open flames not permitted at your venue? Couple with glassware like hurricane glasses and your problem is solved. It’s that time again, for plenty of floral goodness. This is a continuation of our Floral Love series. Carnations have long been banished to the filler flower category. But why? Bunched together, carnations can pack major punch. They’re affordable, easy to get, light and airy, and can be the star or costar of your wedding. Quick facts about this sweetly-scented flower: Available year-round, they are never out of season. Carnations are symbolic of mother’s love. 3 weeks: Length of time carnations can last once cut. Candle Perfection

Rarely can one element, other than perhaps florals, have the power to elevate a wedding reception to the next level. But candles can do the trick, and beautifully. Candles can beautify a mundane setting, or illuminate an already-fantastic one. Whether tall or small, towering or tealight, take a cue from these photos if you’re looking to add a little (or plenty) of glow to your ceremony or reception space.     1 Sarah Yates 2 Joanna Tano via *** 3 Lisa Rigby Photography via *** 4 Emily G Photography via *** 5 Distillery District of Toronto via *** 6 Les Loup w/ design by Alchemy Fine Events via ***. 7 Studio Castillero via *** 8 Natasja Kremers via *** 9 Bliss Photography via *** 10 Smitten Photography 11 via *** 12 Duke Photography via ***.

The Premier Bridal Event

If the photos are any indication, Harsanik.com’s The Premier Bridal Event was a fabulous success. A special thanks goes to Duke Khodaverdian of Duke Photography for snapping  the beautiful images from this event. We love these shows because it gives us a chance to converse with brides, as well as with the special people involved in their wedding planning – grooms, mothers, and friends. At our booth we were armed with Aruna Seth shoes. Plus, we had the extreme privilege of hosting the event’s exclusive fashion show for a packed house. Our models wore evening gowns by Pronovias and Ines Di Santo and wedding dresses by Ines Di Santo, with jewelry by Vanna K and Maria Elena headpieces and clutches. Hair and makeup were beautifully done by Hairspray Salon. And beyond being there for business, we enjoyed all the terrific wedding inspiration. There’s no better time to be a bride than now! The luscious cakes, lovely stationery, […]
