Viceroy Santa Monica Fashion Shoot, Pt. 2

Welcome to part two of two posts showcasing a shoot we participated in recently at Viceroy Santa Monica. We love all the delicious details captured by Robyn Rachel Photography. Pretty pink candy, sparkling gold cake pops, lovely-accented cookies and cupcakes, and mouth-watering French macarons. And that’s only the first part! The next scene highlights classic black and white played up with embellishments and patterns in the form of linens and stationery. You’ll see hints of the fashion from Lovella Bridal from part one here, too: a perfectly-detailed Ines Di Santo gown, a pink Amsale and black Wtoo dress, and sparkling Maria Elena Headpieces accessories to finish the looks. This shoot wouldn’t have been possible without a dream team of vendors; credits are below. Enjoy this classic, chic inspiration! Lovella Loves…

This dazzling architectural creation by Santa Monica’s own The Butter End Cakery. In fact, you may recall our Architectural Cakes post from earlier this year; this design would have surely fit the theme of this post to a “T.” Recently we featured an urban-cool Venice bridal shoot on our blog. One element we kept under wraps was this fabulous cake. In fact, shoot photographer Brian Leahy had nothing but raves for the Cakery’s baker, Kim Bailey. Noted Brian, Kim was asked to create “a sort of “deconstructed” cake and we left the rest to her. After delivery and setup we were left staring at the coolest 3-tiered, 3-level cake supported by hand-poured concrete bases and steel posts.” Enjoy this exquisitely-crafted eye candy!

As Seen On…

Style Me Pretty, this Lazaro dress, with a luxe Santa Monica wedding to match, is a dream. This style has been the go-to dress (i.e. here) for select brides looking for the right mix of chicness, sparkle, and femininity; just look at that bodice and flattering belted waist. In fact, that’s what is great about Lazaro’s creations; he knows how to capitalize on a woman’s curves. We love the bride’s combination of the gown with a white bouquet, complete with lusciously-wrapped and folded gold ribbon at the base, and a glistening minaudiere. The theme was further stretched to the reception, where gold votive holders, tall glass displays with floating candles, and voluminous floral centerpieces were met with beautifully-textured linens. We love it. Enjoy!
