Susan, in “absolutely perfect” Kenneth Pool Ball Gown, Marries Jade

Susan and Jade’s San Diego wedding was nothing short of absolutely lovely. The magnificent Caroline Tran captured all the details — stationery and paper goods in shades of pink and seafoam, the candle-lined ceremony aisle and props like umbrellas and giant pink balloons props. Oh, and the sweets at the reception: too-pretty-to-eat confections like French macarons, intricate cakes, and cake pops complete with edible cameo embellishments. All pretty pastel perfection. Lovella Bride Susan wore a Kenneth Pool ball gown fit for a princess. Wrote the bride of her dress: “Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and expertise in helping me find the absolutely perfect wedding dress. The dress was everything I ever dreamed of and was definitely a major highlight of our special day.” The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and embellished belt at the bodice, and an artfully gathered skirt. The gown was so very Susan: sweet, […]

Melissa, in a Sweet La Sposa Dress, Marries Mark

We love this little slice of fall as we soak up these last days of true summer and steadily approach a new season. Melissa and Mark married in Los Angeles; in these photos from Picotte Photography, it’s evident there was no shortage of love and friendship in the air. The couple’s colors were a myriad of pink hues, and their event contained some of the sweetest details: burlap-wrapped favors, books as centerpieces, a dessert bar of French macarons and mini cupcakes, romantic florals, and smiles — many, many smiles. Lovella bride Melissa’s bridal day look mimicked their theme: sweet. She wore a lovely drop-waist La Sposa gown nothing short of perfection from our salon, with accompanying veil, dazzling earrings and autumnal bouquet. Her bridesmaids also got in on the Lovella action; they were outfitted in the sweetest of Wtoo dresses, dark blush gowns complete with contrasting sashes. We love when a […]

A Ring Bearer Bowl, the Sweetest Thing

Once we came across adorable ring bearer bowls by Paloma’s Nest we were in love. Of course, Paloma’s Nest is now no stranger to media love and attention. Arguably their most popular design, the Ring Bearer Bowl, has put into place a new tradition: a bowl en lieu of a sometimes-stuffy pillow for the ring bearer. The bowls are stamped with custom texts, from the names of the bride and groom to the most romantic poems and phrases, like “To have and to hold” (which is our favorite). One of these crafty bowls is a great heirloom piece, and is such a sweet, chic way to make a sweet, subtle statement on your big day.   Credits (for non-Paloma’s Nest site photo): 1 Melissa Schollaert Photography via *** 4 Alea Moore Photography via ***
