Rich hues meet gilded perfection in this regal shoot captured at the legendary Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. We joined a long list of talented vendors, notably photographers The Yodsukars and the David Tutera team, in collaborating on creating this elegant scene. The ball gown by Kenneth Pool and the shimmering sheath dress by Stephen Yearick are from Lovella Bridal. We also loaned picture-perfect Maria Elena Headpieces jewelry to the cause. These photos and all the pretty extras are proof that it’s all in the details. Saturated florals and gold-trim flatware and stemware added to the theme. The couture cakes were extraordinarily easy on the eyes, and the iconic hotel as the shoot’s backdrop was no doubt the icing on the cake. In fact, this stylized shoot was so fabulous that it was featured on Grace Ormonde’s website recently. What an honor! Enjoy the photos. Credits: Photography: The Yodsukars | […]

It’s part two of our recap of Urban Unveiled LA with photos by Duke Photography. Click here to see our booth and runway show from part one. We were delighted by all the beautiful 1920s era inspiration at the Gatsby-inspired bridal event. We adored Copper Willow Paper Studio’s paper chandelier; how fun to let the imagination run wild with thoughts of pretty paper! And it was so fun watching the flapper girls dance on stage. For a complete list of vendors and sponsors, head to California Wedding Day’s page. The event was such a good time, we almost forgot we were there to work. Enjoy our favorite Gatsby inspiration below; surely this will come in handy for brides or any women looking to host a ‘20s-era wedding, shower or soiree.
Urban Unveiled LA was an event to remember! With a Great Gatsby theme, the historic Vibiana was decked out in anything and everything glitz and glam; it truly felt like we were having soiree in the 1920s. Guests even came dressed for the theme, which made the event all the more festive. Not only were we a participating vendor in the event, but we hosted the bridal fashion show of the night with the help of stylist Kate Riney. Models were sent down the runway in gorgeous looks from our salon: Ines Di Santo wedding dresses, and accessories by Maria Elena Headpieces and Twigs & Honey. Thank you to California Wedding Day for hosting the event, and Duke Photography for all the photos. Stay tuned for part 2, where we’ll share some of the special Gatsby details of the event. In the meantime, enjoy this bridal fashion inspiration!
This fabulous jeweled cap by Maria Elena Headpieces; it was featured here and photographed by Carla Ten Eyck. With Gatsby so popular right now, we’re seeing a welcomed resurgence of 20s-era fashions. That means sparkle, glamour and statement looks. And we’re delighted to say that this ultra-special piece is available at Lovella Bridal; inquire within.
