Our exclusive Bridal Market coverage continues with our private viewing of couture designer Edgardo Bonilla’s latest designs. (If you missed photos from the our the Alvina Valenta and Matthew Christopher runway shows, click here.) In this collection, Bonilla’s inspiration was light – and this lightness was evident in each and every gown he created. We saw lots of geometric lines and bursts of sparkle to represent “light.” Take special note of the placement of these special features; it’s atypical and an art all its own. Edgardo has always been our King of Ball Gowns, and this collection absolutely lives up to his title. Enjoy these exclusive images from the runway show. Join us in store to meet Edgardo himself during our Edgardo Bonilla Trunk Show December 12-14, 2014. Directly below is a photo of the designer with Lovella’s Nayri and Angie. Stay tuned for even more from bridal fashion week!
We couldn’t be more thrilled to share that Lovella Bride Molly’s wedding is featured in the current issue of Inside Weddings magazine! She and Patrick had an amazing wedding in Rome, complete with a historic backdrop and fabulous details. Molly wore a dramatic (not to mention perfect) Ines Di Santo lace wedding dress and veil from our salon. The editorial reads: “She was simply stunning in a fit-and-flare gown with lace overlay and an off-the-shoulder neckline, a luxurious train and cathedral veil trailing behind her. ‘I often imagined what she would look like,’ [Patrick] says. ‘Those daydreams, however, paled in comparison to the actual experience.’” And we must note that our Ines Di Santo Trunk Show kicks off tomorrow, March 14. The world renowned designer will be here at Lovella Bridal! If you love Molly’s dress, then you must make an appointment; call us at (818) 246-4637. Enjoy this gorgeous […]
We’ve been waiting to post this gorgeous wedding until the right time. With much of the country experiencing freezing temperatures this past week, the time is now! Lovella bride Rachel married Jesse in dreamy, snowy Lake Tahoe. Rachel stunned in an Ines Di Santo dress and Maria Elena Headpieces hairpiece, earrings and veil, all from Lovella Bridal. The Lovella bride’s summation: “My dress was absolutely amazing and everyone could not believe how beautiful it was. I could not thank you enough for all of your help to modify and fit the dress so perfectly for me. It was truly an incredible experience to have Ines there when I found my dress, to have her draw up the modifications, and celebrate me finding my one-of-a-kind dress. Also, the veil and Maria Elena accessories paired so beautifully with the dress.” She purchased her gown during a Lovella Ines Di Santo trunk show, […]
Brides want to look and feel their absolute best on their big day, which is why we’re launching a Q&A series! Lovella’s own in-house Wedding Fashion Expert and Stylist Nayri will help brides to navigate the often uncharted waters of bridal fashion. Have a question? Nayri has an answer; email her. Let’s begin! Question: I don’t love jewelry. However, I feel like I should wear something special as a bride. What jewelry is most essential for a bride on her big day? Nayri: Think hair, ears and wrist. There are three essential pieces a bride should wear on her wedding day: A veil or headpiece (or both), earrings and a bracelet. I’ll explain: 1. Hair Piece: This is where you get to personalize your look with your bridal gown! It is important to have something in your hair, even if not visible when seen head-on. Select either or both an embellished headpiece or comb, and veil. Veil-wise, opt […]
Spring was in full swing for Bianca and Eric’s Huntington Beach seaside wedding, photographed beautifully by Sherri J Photography. In this Lovella bride we saw much joy. Bianca looked lovely in a custom Ines Di Santo dress. She selected one of the designer’s more romantic offerings, the “Elodie” style gown – which we customized just for her! (See photo directly below the video, of the runway image, at left.) We made changes to the shape of the original ball gown, and modified the neckline to a sweetheart shape. The result was something that was completely and utterly Bianca. Her look was finished with sparkling shoes accented with brightly colored nails, a chic bouquet, and from our salon – an Ines Di Santo veil and Maria Elena headpiece. We adore all the personal touches of this wedding, beginning with the customized gown leading to a note from the bride’s father, several […]
