We shared photos of our new salon, and then the fashion, and now it’s time to take those and some fun and roll it into one: the celebration! Welcome to the third and final installment of our series documenting the grand reopening of Lovella Bridal on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Designers Ines Di Santo, Jorge Manuel, Edgardo Bonilla and Maria Elena Fuentes all flew in from across the country for the event. The list of vendors (and friends) who went above and beyond the call of duty to make this night a memorable one for all involved is at the bottom of this post. We’ll let these photos by Duke Photography do the rest of the talking. (And this is only a sampling; view more on our Facebook page.) Enjoy! Thank you to all who made our Grand Opening last Wednesday an absolute joy and success! We couldn’t be happier with our new salon, and we’re humbled by all the support and well wishes we have received. We were delighted by all the brides, neighbors and friends who showed up to celebrate with us. Truly, without our brides and friends both in the industry and out, we would not be Lovella Bridal. Special guests traveled from thousands of miles away to attend the event. Ines Di Santo traveled from Toronto for both the event and our trunk show. In from Miami, Maria Elena and Gisele Del Busto of Maria Elena Headpieces celebrated with us. Also Jorge Manuel, who designed our salon, and Edgardo Bonilla, who designed our front windows. James Brown of Rivini and Amber Strickland of Sareh Nouri came in from New York. Thank you to the vendors, many […]
Lovella Bridal plays host to Bridal Series, an ongoing string of wedding-focused events including intimate fashion shows featuring new collections, fabulous vendors and their work, and more. To top it off these shows and gatherings are usually complete with champagne, sweet nibbles, and plenty of inspiration. This time it was all about hair and makeup; we had so much fun! And we couldn’t have had such a successful event without some very special vendors; a special thanks goes to Georgetown Cupcake, Duke Photography, Mariah Nicole Makeup & Hair Artistry, David Z Design and Walter Pawluk. In fact, below be sure to check out the video that Walter put together for us documenting the event. Enjoy!
We have a treat for you today! Duke of Duke Photography and videographer Walter Pawluk worked overtime to shoot our models after they walked the runway at Festival of Brides earlier this month. The Langham Huntington in Pasadena served as the backdrop, providing beautiful shots of these fabulous women in gorgeous Kenneth Pool gowns and Maria Elena Accessories. Hair and makeup credits go to Arsineh Ghazarian (for hair) and Makeup by Arpi. And for your further viewing pleasure, scroll down for a behind the scenes shot of Duke and Walter working their magic. Enjoy!
In celebration of the launch of our exclusive Edgardo Bonilla for Lovella Bridal collection, we kicked off the trunk show by hosting An Engaging Evening with Edgardo Bonilla. This late October event offered brides a chance to meet the iconic designer, chat bridal trends and fashion, and sip champagne and nibble on cupcakes. An engaging evening, indeed! And a very special thanks goes to the following vendors who contributed their time to make our event a success: Walter Pawluk Wedding Videography, Duke Photography and Butterly Floral and Event Design. During a recent interview with Edgardo we asked what inspired this collection, and he responded “California dreaming with all of its beautiful nature.” In case you missed this exclusive interview check it out here. And as if meeting the designer during the event and trunk show wasn’t special enough, brides who selected a gown received a personalized sketch of their creation. We must say that […]
