Soon-to-be bride Whitney came into our salon with one (big) request: that her dream wedding gown be comfortable. Comfort’s a request we don’t receive often. It’s not an impossible request, but it’s similar to wanting comfortable stilettos. But we were up to the challenge!
After pondering Whitney’s request, our fashion specialist selected multiple gowns for her to try. After doing a walk-through of the salon, a Jenny Packham gown was selected. Would it meet the bride’s comfort and style requirements? Sure enough, it was a hit and Whitney was back two weeks later to purchase!
That said, high school sweethearts Whitney and Nick wed in an intimate backyard ceremony and celebrated with a reception at an Italian restaurant. Whitney donned the Jenny Packham gown, featuring an embellished front, criss-cross back, and fluid body. The dress was many things: comfortable, ultra-feminine, sexy, romantic, elegant, and chic. Her bridal look was made complete with Badgley Mischka shoes, and jewelry including her grandmother’s pearl bracelet. She carried a nature-lover’s bouquet wrapped in gorgeous white fabric.
Comfort in a wedding gown may be a tall order, but it’s one we are (and were) able to fill. Wishes do come true! Enjoy the photos.
